The Weir Clinic is pleased to announce our Medical aesthetics service, providing anti-wrinkle injections and dermal fillers. This service is provided by Dr Noreen Kelly who, having spent many years in general practice work, then completed postgraduate training in London, through Queen Mary University.
Dr Kelly will provide an initial consultation where she will provide information on the various treatments available and recommend the course of action best suited to each person, to achieve the look they desire. Dr Kelly very much believes in the less is more motto, and exercises a light handed approach , including sometime advice about treatments that you do not need.
The goal is to leave the client looking fresher, not frozen, and create a smooth natural look that people will notice as a better version of you but not guess that you have had work done.
What are anti-wrinkle injections and dermal fillers?
Anti-wrinkle injections temporarily reduce movement in your facial muscles and this stops them creasing the skin and creating wrinkles when you laugh, smile or frown.
The results take two weeks to reach their maximum effect and the treatment lasts from 3 to 6 months. This is variable between individuals depending on how fast their body breaks down the toxin.
The areas treated by anti-wrinkle injections are
- Glabella/Frown lines- the area between the eyebrows and just above each eyebrow.
- Laugh lines- at the sides of each eye.
- Forehead lines- lines running across the forehead.
The cost of anti-wrinkle injections depends on the number of areas treated.
One area = €200
Two areas = €250
Three areas = € 275

Dermal Fillers
Dr Noreen Kelly uses Hyaluronic Acid (HA) based fillers, which also contain Lidocaine local anaesthetic. Hyaluronic acid is a natural substance found in the skin which keeps the skin looking plump and hydrated.
HA Fillers act by filling lines on the face and the results are immediate, leaving the skin looking smoother for 9 to 12 months. The body gradually and naturally reabsorbs the filler.
Areas that can be treated with Dermal Fillers.
- Nasolabial folds- lines from the nose to the corner of the mouth
- Marionette lines- from the corner of the mouth to the chin/jawline.
- Restore volume to sunken cheeks
- Smooth lines around the mouth- smokers lines.
- Plump and enhance the lips.
There is a risk of bruising after dermal fillers so it is recommended to have them done up to 2 weeks before any special event.
The cost of dermal fillers depends on the amount used and again a light touch is always used at the start and the treatment can be built up in stages for the most natural look.
Price for first ml of filler = €350
Price for 2nd ml= €300
